Cable Box Not responding

So now the box is not responding when the tv is in 3D mode.

To prove that this is the issue, try and change the channel on the dvr manually using the buttons on the front of the dvr.
If it changes channel then , the issue is with the active shutter technology interferring and masking the IR signal from the remote.

If you can't then its something else.
